KENAKO HELPING HANDS SOCIETY
Settlement Programs
Kenako Helping Hand Society offers settlement services to newcomers in Canada. These services include assistance in finding employment, making new friends, registering for language classes, accessing government and community services, understanding local culture and customs, and learning about their rights in Canada. All of our settlement services are confidential and free of charge. We provide personalized support based on your individual needs and circumstances, and we can meet with you in person. To find out if you are eligible for our services, you can visit our website or email us at info@kenakohelpinghandssociety.com.
Our society's primary focus is on resettling privately sponsored refugees. We take responsibility for helping refugees adjust to life in Canada, and we offer support for a period of one year or until they can support themselves, whichever comes first. Our refugee services are free of charge, and refugees do not need to pay us for our assistance.

Self-Employment Services
Kenako Helping Hand Society recognizes that refugees play a significant role in Canada's economy. Although the primary goal of refugee resettlement is humanitarian, refugees contribute to the Canadian job market and society in many ways. Many refugees possess entrepreneurial skills and a strong work ethic. They create businesses, generate employment, and contribute to local economies. These businesses range from restaurants and retail stores to tech startups. Refugees bring diverse perspectives, experiences, and cultural knowledge. This diversity fosters innovation, creativity, and adaptability within Canadian workplaces. Through Kenako Helping Hands Society's resettlement programs, we aim to help refugees start their own businesses and contribute to Canada's economic vitality, enrich its culture, and strengthen its communities. Contact us today for an appointment to discuss the next steps in starting your own business in Canada. info@kenakohelpinghandssociety.com
